In 1980, Dave Hodous was working as a union carpenter when he decided to venture out on his own and establish a residential remodeling company. Starting out with only himself and his brother-in-law, they began Dave's Home Improvement by taking on odd jobs around town. Everything from installing doors to building decks, they slowly grew their small business into a thriving company. They soon renamed the business, Hodous Construction, after beginning to take on larger projects such as room additions, kitchens, and baths. As the business grew, referrals from past jobs allowed Hodous Construction to employ more crews, and the company flourished.

Dave grew up in the eastern suburbs, so it was only natural that he would service the area he knew best. A carpenter by trade, Dave is passionate about perfecting the details, and because of that, masterful carpentry is a signature of Hodous Construction. Dave's main goal was to build a business he could be proud of and that remains his commitment to this day. Not only is Dave Hodous in the business of remodeling homes, he is also in the business of building long-term relationships.
